---On Oct. 10, 2016, a 6-person delegation headed by H.E. Dr. Sinava Souphanouvong, Vice Minister of Energy and Mines of Lao PDR paid a visit to HRC. Dr. Sinava was ever HRC trainee in 1994 attending the SHP training course sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (the former of the Ministry of Commerce). This visit is targeted to promote the bilateral cooperation between HRC and the Institute of Renewable Energy Promotion (IREP), Ministry of Energy and Mines of Lao PDR.
Dr. Xu Jincai, Director General of HRC expressed his warmly welcome and briefed the recent activities of HRC. Witnessed by Dr. Sinava, a MOU has been reached and signed between HRC and IREP, thus initiating the mutual cooperation in the fields of SHP and other renewable energies.
Since 1993, HRC has organized 84 training courses for 1680 foreign engineers and officials in 111 countries. Some trainees in Lao PDR, Vietnam, Egypt, Tanzania etc. have been promoted to be ministers or vice ministers of energy or water resources, who begin to play more important and active roles in the promotion of technical and economic cooperation between China and foreign countries, as well as enhancing the friendship.(2016-10-24)
