2015 Seminar on Rural Electrification for Asian Countries Concluded Successfully

   ---On 3rd June, the 2015 Seminar on Rural Electrification for Asian Countries was concluded successfully. Based on the concerted efforts of all lecturers, participants and HRC training team, this 21-day foreign-aid training program entrusted by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce has achieved fruitful results.

   Mr. Fan Aihua, Division Chief of Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation, Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, and Ms. Cheng Xialei, Director General of HRC addressed the ceremony respectively. Deputy Director of HRC Mr. Huang Jianping was also present at the closing ceremony.

   On behalf of the Department of Foreign Aid, Ministry of Commerce and the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, Mr. Fan extended his warm congratulations on the successful conclusion of the seminar and his sincere thanks to HRC for the fulfillment of the mission entrusted by the Ministry of Commerce in a scientific and professional way and making immense contributions to the success of the seminar. Mr. Fan also showed his respect to all the participants as they had overcome barriers on languages, habits and customs, etc. so as to finish all the seminar courses. Mr. Fan reviewed that Mr. Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China ever stressed "Asia belongs to the world. For Asia to move towards a community of common destiny and embrace a new future, it has to follow the world trend and seek progress and development in tandem with that of the world. To do well, Asia and the world could not do without each other. Facing the fast changing international and regional landscapes, we must see the whole picture, follow the trend of our times and jointly build a regional order that is more favorable to Asia and the world. We should, through efforts towards such a community for Asia, promote a community of common interest for all mankind". Mr. Fan hoped that all the participants would take this seminar as an opportunity and platform, as a bridge, to promote the friendship between Chinese people and the people in their countries, and to strengthen the economic and trade cooperation, as well as the cultural and technical exchange among the Asian countries. It was highly expected that through the extensive communication and cooperation in the fields of renewable energy and rural electrification, HRC and all the participants would work together for economic development and environmental improvement, and make the sky brighter, the water cleaner and the mountains greener.

   Ms. Cheng made an overall summary for the activities and achievements of the seminar, and on behalf of HRC, she expressed heartfelt thanks to the Ministry of Commerce for its great supports, and to the participants for their earnest attitudes and friendly cooperation during the seminar. Ms. Cheng mentioned that it was very nice to learn that all the participants were satisfied with this productive seminar and enjoyed their stay in China. It was expected that after returning to their respective countries, all the participants would play more important roles in promoting the utilization of local SHP and other renewable energies, and the development of rural electrification as well. Ms. Cheng warmly welcomed the participants to revisit HRC, "the family of SHP in the world", and make joint efforts to promote more concrete cooperation among the Asian countries in the field of renewable energy and rural electrification.

   On behalf of all the participants, the monitor, Ms. SARUUL BAYARSAIKHAN, Project Manager of Infrastructure Network LLC, Mongolia, delivered an emotional speech, extending their profound gratitude to the Chinese Government and sincere appreciation to HRC. She addressed: "On our final day together, on behalf of all the participants I want to thank our hosts and sponsors, the Hangzhou Regional Center and the People's Republic of China for inviting us and allowing us to participate in this wonderful event. I am certain that all the participants have learned significant amount from the fantastic staff and facility of HRC. We know that we have learned great deal of knowledge that we cannot wait to share with our fellow countrymen. In addition to classroom knowledge, I would like to specifically acknowledge the hands on experience gained through our travels and visits to numerous energy production centers. Of course I want to also acknowledge scenery and wonderful sights we were able to take during our travels. Facility and staff of the HRC have provided all of us with first class environment along with the knowledge skill to make difference in our own countries. I thank each one of you for your contributions to this conference and hope to see all of you again in the years to come as we move to answer and solve the energy production on our individual countries. Regardless of which country we from, we work together and bring clean and sustainable energy to the world. Again thank you to all the participants and wonderful hosts for this splendid events and it was memorable and can't wait to work with the HRC again in the future."

   Following the speech of the monitor, the other participants, one by one, also expressed their heartfelt appreciation and strong desire for further cooperation with HRC.

   With the solemn national anthems of all the participating countries, the leaders of Chinese side awarded the certificates from the Ministry of Commerce to all the participants. The division chief Mr. Lin presented the delicate souvenirs from HRC to the monitor and the two vice-monitors who had made good coordination services for the class. (2015-06-11)
