---Thai An 220kV Substation in Vietnam
designed by HRC's affiliated company, Zhejiang Zhongzhou
Planning & Design Co., LTD for Water Conservancy and
Hydropower, was connected to Vietnam National Grid for
operation on September 29, 2011.
Thai An 220kV Substation is equipped
with an OSFSZ10¡ª160MVA/220 three-phase auto-coupling transformer,
with rated capacity of 160/160/50 MVA and transformation
ratio of 225¡À8¡Á1.25%/115/10.5kV.
The major function of this substation
is to step up the power generated by Thai An Hydropower
Station and THUAN HOA Hydropower Station to 220kV and
make it connect to Ha Giang 220kV Substation of Vietnam
and further to Vietnam National Grid.
This is the first 220kV substation
that Zhejiang Zhongzhou Planning & Design Co., LTD
for Water Conservancy and Hydropower has undertaken outside
China. Its completion and successful connection to the
grid for operation will enable HRC to accumulate considerable
designing experience to undertake similar overseas projects
