---On Feb. 18th, headed by Vice President
of Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute (NHRI) Mr. Chen
Shengshui, HRC leadership and Chief of Division of International
Cooperation, Science & Technology reported work in
Hydropower & Rural Electrification Bureau of Ministry
of Water Resources (MWR).
On behalf of NHRI, Vice President
Mr. Chen Shengshui expressed the gratitude to the Hydropower
& Rural Electrification Bureau for its guidance on
HRC's work over the last year. Under its leadership, HRC
had been playing a more and more significant role in SHP
industry. Mr. Chen also conveyed the special regards from
President of NHRI Mr. Zhang Jianyun.
Ms. Cheng Xialei, HRC's Director,
reported the work that was carried out by HRC in 2010
and the working plan of 2011. Deputy Director Mr. Xu Jincai
reported the application and preparation for the establishment
of "SHP Engineering & Technology Research Center
of MWR".
On behalf of Director Mr. Tian Zhongxin
and Hydropower & Rural Electrification Bureau, Deputy
Director Mr. Xing Yuanyue extended a cordial welcome to
HRC's leaders. He congratulated HRC on its achievements
of scientific research, industry planning, standardization,
international cooperation, industry training, and industrialization,
etc. Mr. Xing said that over the past year, HRC has been
perfectly united with significant supportive ability;
Hydropower & Rural Electrification Bureau will continue
to give full support to HRC in the future. HRC is expected,
with more extensive vision, to make technological progress
through gradual exploration of equity joint venture so
as to play a leading role in technology development of
rural electrification.
Vice Presidents Mr. Liu Zhongmin and
Mr. Chen Dayong put forward the following concrete requirements
respectively for the implementation of Document No.1 of
the Central Committee of CPC and the State Council: strengthening
water resource management, internationalization of rural
electrification standards, informatized management of
rural hydropower, security monitoring of rural hydropower
and efficiency improvement and capacity enlargement of
rural electrification, etc. Division Chiefs in Hydropower
& Rural Electrification Bureau of MWR also made arrangements
