of Rural Hydropower & Electrification Development,
Ministry of Water Resources, P.R.China and Nanjing Hydraulic
Research Institute, with HRC's active applications for
more than one year, and based on examination and approval
of China Society for Hydropower Engineering (CSHE), China
Association for Science and Technology, Zhejiang Civil
Affairs Bureau, etc., Small Hydropower Committee (SHC)
of CSHE was set up under the sanction of the Civil Organization
Administration of the Ministry of Civil Affairs. It was
registered in June 2008 with the approval number [2008]1102
and the registered number 3742-30. The founding of SHC
plays an important role in forming a national network
of academic activities on small hydropower. As a unit
nominally affiliated, SHC has closed the relationship
between HRC and the related departments, and also provided
us with a wider stage for technical exchange.(2008-08-04)
