of Commerce, 2007 TCDC Training Workshop on Small Hydro
Power is being conducted by HRC from May 17 to June 25.
The opening ceremony was held on May 17, with the presence
of 18 energy and hydropower officials and engineers from
9 countries, i.e. Uganda, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia,
Armenia, Macedonia, Laos, Georgia, Mozambique and Micronesia,
etc. According to the information concerned, there are
several trainees still on their way to China. It is expected
that finally around 30 participants from over 10 countries
will attend this significant event.
At the opening ceremony, the HRC leaders
addressed respectively, expressing warm welcome to all
the participants and wishing the training a great success.
On behalf of all the participants, Mr. Soekarno from Indonesia
sincerely expressed thankfulness to Chinese Government
for financing such a favorable training opportunity, based
on which, they would like to learn more about the updated
SHP technology from China, and make contribution to the
