Introduction to MURAT I & II HEPP
MURAT I & II HEPP are cascade hydropower stations with installed capacity 3×8410kW and 3×3416kW and vertical Francis turbines, having the maximum head 59.72m and 25.46m, the rated head 57m and 23.4m, the lowest head 54.97m and 21.56m respectively, and the rated flow of 16.67m3/s.


The contract for the project was signed on November 7, 2009 with the scope of supply including turbine, generator, excitation system, governor, butterfly valve, temperature measurement and braking cubicle, automation components, SCADA system, generator outlet cubicle, oil air and water piping system, installation and commissioning, oil air and water piping system installation. The station passed the preliminary acceptance by the Turkish Ministry of Energy and was put into commercial operation on October 5, 2012.


MURAT I & II HEPP is a major leap in completing equipment export business from simple installation supervision to general electro-mechanical equipment installation contracting. The successful operation of the power station marks our business capability improvement and it becomes another pilot project for our business in the Turkish market, achieving a breakthrough on the installation practice.
